Community members and people representing the 80 nonprofits participating in the 10th annual Great Fish Community Challenge gathered at Three Rivers Bank in Whitefish last Thursday to celebrate the launch of the Great Fish Community Challenge, a five-week giving campaign.
At the party, donors who gave $100 or more to a single nonprofit were entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of eleven $1,000 grants for that organization.
These $1,000 grants are separate from match awards to be given by the Whitefish Community Foundation at the end of the Challenge.
The following donors and nonprofits were winners of the launch party’s $1,000 drawings:
Jerrie Boksich – Alpine Theatre Company
Danelle Reisch - Nate Chute Foundation
Sharlot Battin – North Valley Music School
Lisa Veseth – Whitefish Education Foundation
Gil Jordan – Whitefish Theatre Company
Justin Gable – Children’s House Montessori School
Wolf Auto – Bigfork Food Bank
AJ King – Humane Society of NW Montana
Cathy Cooney – Bigfork Food Bank
Katie Williams – North Valley Music School
Don Stolte – NW Montana History Museum
The Challenge ends at 5 p.m. on Sept. 13. Donations can be made online at whitefishcommunityfoundation.org/great-fish, by check or cash accompanied by the official Great Fish donation form, or through a gift of stock or distribution from an IRA.
