Ephrata PD

Jan. 31

Report of a vehicle running over a flowerbed and almost hitting a tree. Driver said he had parked the vehicle and fallen asleep, and when he woke up the vehicle had moved. Driver said it was possible he had not put the vehicle in park. Driver showed no sign of impairment.

Feb. 6

Report of a vehicle prowl in the 200 block of E Street Southwest. Tools valued at approximately $2,000 were taken.

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision at Basin Street and Third Avenue Southwest. Vehicle 1 was unable to stop due to a brake problem and struck vehicle 2.

Jamie Lynn Krumenacker, 46, Moses Lake, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.

David Perez Sarmiento, 21, Quincy, booked on DUI and second-degree driving with license suspended.

Feb. 5

Ben Deboer, 32, Quincy, booked on first-degree criminal trespass, as well as a Department of Corrections warrant relating to first-degree burglary.

Sara Jean Gonzalez Chavez, 40, Soap Lake, booked on second-degree assault with a deadly weapon.

Feb. 6

Jacob Braziel, 70, Warden, booked on DUI, obstructing a law enforcement officer and interfering with a healthcare facility.

Feb. 7

Dakota Austin Alfred Lazier, 28, Moses Lake, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence and resisting arrest.

Feb. 1

Report of a vehicle break-in on West Sage Bay Drive. An airport identification card, gas cards and a wallet were taken.

Report of air conditioning tubing cut at a business in the 700 block of North Stratford Road. Reporting party also advised that subjects are camping on the business’ loading dock and starting fires.

Feb. 2

Report of a vehicle broken into in the 1800 block of East Kittelson Road. A laptop valued at $1,500, a tablet valued at $1,000 and a backpack valued at $30 were taken.

Report of an intoxicated juvenile at Samaritan Hospital. Juvenile removed needle from arm during blood draw and stabbed phlebotomist with it. Juvenile’s mother was contacted.

Report of two vehicles prowled in the 2300 block of South Maiers Road. Hunting equipment was stolen out of one and the ignition in the other was damaged.

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way.

Report of two propane tanks stolen from a business in the 300 block of Hansen Road Northeast.

Report of a stolen vehicle recovered in the 700 block of North Central Drive.

Feb. 3

Report of theft at a business in the 600 block of North Stratford Road.

Report of windows broken out in three vehicles in the 600 block of South Yakima Avenue. A designer purse valued at $2,500, tools valued at $2,500 and bank cards were stolen.

Report of a cell phone stolen in the 400 block of East Broadway Avenue.

Feb. 4

Report of alcohol stolen from a business in the 1100 block of North Stratford Road.

Report of a generator, a compactor and other tools stolen from a construction site on West Lakeside Drive. Officers located the suspect vehicle with the generator inside and arrested two suspects.

Report of a hit-and-run collision at South Division Street and East Sixth Avenue.

Feb. 5

Report of a burglary at a business in the 1200 block of East Wheeler Road. The only things taken were two employee files. Reporting party advised that those former employees had a history of harassing her and asking for their files.

Report of theft from a business in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way.

Report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at a crosswalk in the 600 block of North Stratford Road.

Report of graffiti sprayed on a garage door at a residence on South Bobbi Street.

Feb. 6

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision at North Stratford Road and West Mart Road.

Report of auto parts stolen from a business in the 900 block of West Third Avenue. A suspect was later identified while trying to sell the parts.

Report of a five-ton jack stolen from a residence on West Knolls Vista Drive.

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way.

Report of a package stolen off a porch on East Sixth Avenue. Suspect was captured on video but was wearing a mask and could not be identified.

Feb. 7

Report of theft from a business in the 900 block of North Stratford Road.  Suspect was contacted and taken into custody.

Report of theft at a business in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way. Suspect was identified from description and taken into custody.

Report of a window broken out of a vehicle on East Hill Street.

Report of assault on West Wapato Drive. Reporting party advised he had asked his neighbor to slow down while driving through the neighborhood, and she elbowed him three times in the stomach.

Report of a cell phone stolen from a customer at a business in the 1200 block of South Pioneer Way.

Report of a basket full of merchandise stolen from a business in the 200 block of East Broadway Avenue.

Moses Lake man arrested for molestation

MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake man was arrested Friday for child molestation, according to a statement from the Moses Lake Police Department. Jaime Mendez Madrigal, 39, was booked into Grant County Jail on two counts of third-degree child molestation, according to the statement.
