Police: Two arrested after road rage shooting

ATHOL — Two people are in jail after an alleged road rage incident.

Kootenai County sheriff’s deputies responded late Wednesday to reports of shots fired in the area of Bunco Road and Pope Road near Athol, according to a news release.

Police said a woman had exited a vehicle during a road rage incident and fired multiple gunshots into an occupied vehicle.

Deputies and Idaho State Police located two suspects, identified by police as Patrick J. Coffey, 47, and Carolina Silva, 43, both of DeSmet.

Silva was booked into the Kootenai County jail on charges of aggravated assault and unlawful discharge of a firearm. Coffey was jailed on charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit shooting at an occupied vehicle.
