COLUMBIA BASIN — Downtown Moses Lake will host four events Saturday, while Quincy, Odessa and Hartline all have their biggest community celebrations of the year. Here’s what’s happening in the Basin this week:
Sept. 13
B Street Block Party
Food trucks, beer and wine vendors, games and live music by Whiskey Trail Band and Rylei Franks. 6 p.m. on B Street Southeast between Central Avenue South and First Avenue Southeast. Info: quincyvalley.org.
Othello PRCA Rodeo

Farmer Consumer Awareness Day
Farmer Consumer Awareness Day is a day for farmers to show how food is produced, and for consumers to learn. The festival includes a parade, farm equipment display, quilt show, vendors, tours, fun run, car show, a cook off, and a soccer tournament. 9 a.m. at Quincy Middle School, 16 Sixth Ave. SE, Quincy. Sip & Stroll
Downtown Moses Lake Association fundraiser wine walk. Visit 23 participating locations, a beer garden in the square, a photo booth and a car show. A local shuttle will take participants around to the extended locations. Sip-and-Strollers will receive tasting tickets, raffle tickets, a map of the event, a customized tasting glass and bag. 1-5 p.m. at Sinkiuse Square, 216 W. Third Ave., Moses Lake. Art on Third
See local artists and their works gathered in downtown Moses Lake. Care Fair

Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Put on your purple and come out to McCosh Park to help in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. The walk raises funds for care, support and research, as well as providing support and companionship for people living with or caring for someone with Alzheimer’s and other dementia. Surf-infused psychedelic rock from Australia. Changes in financial procedures recommended for Lind after state audit
LIND — The town of Lind lost a substantial amount of its financial transaction records for 2022-25, a situation the Washington State Auditor’s Office attributed to a computer failure. However, the WSAO also recommended that town officials revise some of its financial transaction processes.
