Gas prices raise in Grant Co., drop elsewhere

MOSES LAKE – As of April 28, gasoline prices in Grant and Adams counties continue to display notable variation amidst a steady national average, according to AAA.
In Grant County, motorists are currently paying an average of $4.30 per gallon, which marks a slight increase from $4.28 a gallon the previous week, according to AAA.
Adams County, however, has seen a decline, with prices now at $4.20 per gallon, down from $4.72 per gallon April 21.
The state of Washington averages $4.31 per gallon for regular gasoline, showcasing a minor increase from $4.27 per gallon recorded the week prior, according to AAA. Compared to a year ago, gas prices have gone down in the state by around 40.2 cents. Diesel is sitting at about $4.44 a gallon in the state. A 1-cent increase from the previous week and a 26.8-cent decrease from last year.
Washington residents are feeling the pinch at the pump as the state remains one of the highest in terms of fuel prices nationally, with only California at $4.79 per gallon and Hawaii at $4.49 per gallon being higher in the nation.
In contrast, the national average remains stable at $3.14 per gallon, slightly lower than last week's $3.15 and significantly lower than the previous year, representing a decrease of 50.8 cents. Diesel has also shown a decrease this week, sitting at about $3.54 per gallon. Last week, diesel averaged around $3.55 a gallon.
