100-acre fire in N. Grant County sparked Wednesday

ELECTRIC CITY — The Grant County Sheriff’s Office has issued Level 2 “Get Set” evacuation orders for both Electric City and Delano as a wildfire moves through the area as of 3:58 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the National Interagency Fire Center, the Silver Fire is sitting at around 100 acres and started at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
As of 5:30, the evacuation order was changed to a Level 1 “Be Ready.”
As of 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Grand Coulee Volunteer Fire and EMS reported that crews were still working on the fire. Several federal agencies have shown up to assist with mop-up.
