Financial headwinds close Whitefish Thai restaurant

Downtown Whitefish restaurant BANG BANG Thai came in, and is going out, with a bang. The restaurant located at 12 Spokane Ave. opened its doors last spring but will close next week.
“I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the people that supported this little passion project, most importantly our staff,” wrote restauranter Sam Dauenhauer in an Instagram post last weekend. “We created something special together and your support has been nothing short of extraordinary.”
The post goes on to say the restaurant is not financially sustainable and that Dauenhauer will look to brew new ideas in the fast-casual sector over the next year.
Dauenhauer wrote that he is looking forward to stress free nights with family and time for reflection.
The restaurant's last night is Saturday, Feb. 1.
