ALL-LEAGUE GIRLS BASKETBALL: Bateman, Hinthorn garner honors

ALL-LEAGUE: Sydney Hinthorn

A senior forward standing at 5 feet 9 inches tall, Hinthorn made a return for her senior season and did not disappoint down low. She started and played in 19 games this season, averaging 10.5 points, 1.9 assists, 5.8 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 0.5 blocks per game. She had a season-high 22 points against Lakeside on Jan. 30... a season-high 12 rebounds against Lakeside on Jan. 30... a tied for season-high four assists against Genesis Prep on Nov. 22, against Flathead Valley on Dec. 20, and against St. Maries on Jan. 22... a season-high six steals against Moscow on Dec. 6... and a season-high two blocks against Flathead Valley on Dec. 20.

This is Hinthorn's first time receiving All-IML honors.

ALL-LEAGUE: Taren Bateman

A sophomore guard standing at 5 feet 8 inches tall, Bateman battled through some injuries and still put up a remarkable season. She started and played in 17 games this season, averaging 17.9 points, 1.8 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 5.2 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. She had a tied for season-high 31 points against Flathead Valley on Dec. 20 and against Lakeside on Dec. 27... a season-high nine rebounds against Lakeside on Jan. 30... a season-high five assists against Lakeside on Dec. 27... a season-high 11 steals against Moscow on Nov. 18... and a tied for season-high three blocks against East Valley on Dec. 5 and Lakeside on Dec. 27.

Bateman is now a two-time All-IML recipient, having received MVP honors as a freshman last season. After two seasons at Bonners Ferry, she has amassed 721 points, 109 rebounds, 67 assists, 123 steals and 17 blocks.
