A Kalispell woman accused of attacking a teenager with brass knuckles at a 2023 party later received a three-year sentence to the state Department of Corrections.
Daisy Hope Crothers, 21, pleaded not guilty to felony assault with a weapon at her November 2023 arraignment in Flathead County District Court, but took a deal in March 2024. In exchange for a guilty plea to an amended charge of felony criminal endangerment, prosecutors agreed to recommend she receive a deferred three-year sentence.
Judge Dan Wilson, who presided over the case, sentenced Crothers in June 2024 to the Montana Department of Corrections for three years with a recommendation she enter the state's Passages program, which focuses on rehabilitating adult women convicted of felonies. Wilson gave her credit for 87 days of time served.
Flathead County Sheriff's Office deputies tracked Crothers down after receiving reports of a Sept. 16, 2023 party that turned violent. Video taken of the fight and posted online allegedly showed Crothers taking a swing at an injured teenager with a pair of brass knuckles.
The victim suffered multiple cuts to the face during the attack, court documents said.
