Skateboarders of all ages, locals and visitors alike, gathered at the Dave Olseth Memorial Skatepark in Whitefish on Saturday, Sept. 6, for the 15th A-Rob Skate Jam.
The event saw boards, bikes, scooters and a lot of tricks - plus grip-tape painting, live metal jams, vendors, food, a raffle and good vibes all around.
The skate jam is in honor of Aaron Robinson, an adventurous skate and snowboarder who passed away 15 years ago at the age of 24 while snowboarding in Chile.
The skate jam on Saturday was also a celebration of the 20th anniversary of Whitefish’s skate park, which opened in the fall of 2005 thanks to Pam Robinson’s, Aaron’s mother, and others' efforts to create a safe space for skateboarders.
