Whitefish had strong representation in Missoula on Friday as Bulldogs claimed two individual event titles at the MCPS track and field invite.

Helena swept the team titles in the stacked field. The Bulldogs boys finished 10th and the girls finished 11th. The Columbia Falls Wildcats finished 12th and 14th.

Colby Minton soared to a first-place finish in the 400 meters. His time of 51.31 barely edged out the second place runner. Minton added a sixth-place finish in the 200, racking up more points for the Dogs.

Ginger Bergland continued to dominate on the track, taking first in the 300 hurdles with a time of 46.01. Her nearest rival was nearly 1.5 seconds behind. Bergland was also third in the 100 hurdles.

Sol Holmquist took fourth in the javelin. Anna Boysen was ninth in the 100 meters and seventh in the 200. Kendall Dye nabbed seventh in the 800. The girls took second place in the 400 relay with a blazing time of 4:16.83.

Braylon Dunn was third in discus and Anderson Barille was sixth in the shot put. Oakley Tunison was fourth in long jump and Cooper Akey was ninth in triple jump.
