Post Falls City Council will meet tonight at 5 p.m. at City Hall for a special workshop session dedicated to the process of finalizing the city’s 2027 budget.

The budget workshop will operate differently than a regular council meeting. Both procedures are open to the public, but the public will not be able to make comments at the workshop.

According to Deputy City Clerk Rhiannon O’Neill, the workshop process gives the City Council a way to deliberate while being separated from the official process.

“It’s a presentation and opportunity to speak without any actions taken,” O’Neill said.

This workshop may be the first of many before the finalization of the 2027 budget at the City Council meeting Aug. 18 at City Hall at 6 p.m.
