Bulldogs gearing up for fall sports

Tryouts and first practices will be held next week for Whitefish High School fall sports before school starts Aug. 26.
The football practice fields are ready to go for the first practice on Aug. 14. The first varsity game is Aug. 28 at Havre in the traditional railroad rivalry.
Volleyball tips off with tryouts on Aug. 14 and the first varsity game at Flathead High School on Sept. 1.
Cross-country practice begins Aug. 14. The runners will head to Libby for the first invitational of the season on Aug. 28.
Golf tryouts are Aug. 13 and 14 at Whitefish Lake Golf Course. For the third year in a row, there is a new head coach, Danny Neff. Golf tees off at home on Aug. 19 with the Whitefish Triangular.
The soccer teams kick off on Aug. 14 at Smith Fields. First games are at home Aug. 28 against Livingston.
A new coach, Shannon Akey, is on board for cheerleading.
