OSBURN — Silver Valley CARES will host its fourth annual Mental Health Fair on Saturday, Aug. 22, at Gene Day Park in Osburn, bringing together local organizations, service providers and families for a free event focused on mental health awareness, wellness and community support.

The fair will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is designed to help residents connect with resources available throughout the Silver Valley and surrounding communities in a welcoming, family-friendly setting.

Attendees will have the opportunity to visit resource booths hosted by area organizations and service providers while learning about mental health, wellness and support services available locally. The event will also feature live music, interactive activities and workshops, games for children and families, and a free raffle.

In addition, families will have access to free school supplies, haircuts, food and lice treatment kits.

"The goal of the Mental Health Fair is to bring resources directly into the community, make it easier for individuals and families to know where to turn when they need support, and continue reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and asking for help," SV CARES Director Paige Olsen said.

Olsen further explained that the event is intended to create an approachable environment where community members can learn about available services, ask questions and build connections with local support networks.

"Events like this help people see that support is available and that they are not alone," Olsen said. "We want community members to feel comfortable reaching out for help and to know there are resources here for them and their families."

To improve accessibility, Silver Valley CARES has partnered with Silver Valley Shuttle to provide free transportation to and from the event. Shuttle service will be available from communities throughout the Silver Valley and Kellogg area, helping ensure transportation is not a barrier to attendance. Advance reservations are required by calling 208-660-8821.

The Mental Health Fair is free and open to the public.

For more information about the event, contact Silver Valley CARES or visit the organization's social media channels.
