It was divisional weekend for wrestling and the results are in. Wrestlers from across Lake County placed in the Western A Divisional Tournament and the Western B/C Divisional Tournament with the state tournament just days away.

With the expectations at their highest they’ve been all season, the results in divisionals can be the difference for many wrestlers.

Starting in Dillon, the Western A tournament hosted both Polson and Ronan as each team looked to send multiple wrestlers to state.

For state qualification, wrestlers need to place in the top eight of their weight class in the divisional tournament. If there are not enough wrestlers for a specific weight class, someone between the ninth and 12th-place finishers will be selected to fill in that spot.

The top eight finishers for the Polson girls are: Kaiah Dumont, 135 lbs., 1st; Cheyenne Blake, 125 lbs., 2nd; Skyla Nielsen, 135 lbs., 2nd; Venessa Wheeler, 145 lbs., 2nd; Alyssa Thoft, 130 lbs., 5th; Shyloh Huffine, 125 lbs., 5th; Talaina Dentler, 115 lbs., 5th; Dailynn O’Roake, 130 lbs., 6th; Kellyn Nelson, 140 lbs., 6th; and Piper Adams, 155 lbs., 6th.

Ronan girls who qualified for State: Judasha Ellsworth, 235 lbs., 1st; Leona Dodson Howe, 155 lbs., 1st; River Cote, 105 lbs., 1st; Finlay Taylor, 190 lbs., 2nd; Jewell Reum, 120 lbs., 2nd; Sierra McGreevey, 130 lbs., 2nd; Ainsley Peretto, 125 lbs., 3rd; Hadassah Read,155 lbs., 3rd; Harper Hardy, 100 lbs., 3rd; Kobe Stevens, 140 lbs., 3rd; and Laila Neiss, 135 lbs., 3rd.

The Polson boys finishers are: Levi Atkins, 138 lbs., 3rd; Ryatt Maley, 175 lbs., 4th; Wyatt Moldenhaur, 118 lbs., 4th; Damien Kato, 215 lbs., 5th; Gabriel Houston, 165 lbs., 5th; Shawn Stump, 190 lbs., 5th; David Pierre, 190 lbs., 6th; Landon Ellenwood, 103 lbs., 6th; Wyatt Boogerd, 150 lbs., 6th; Blane Jaeger, 138 lbs., 7th; Corben Carlson, 144 lbs., 7th; adn Logan Clairmont, 132 lbs., 7th.

Ronan boys finishers: Cooper Wayman, 215 lbs., 1st; Brander McCollum, 126 lbs., 2nd; Luc Cheff, 132 lbs., 2nd; Josiah Houle, 118 lbs., 3rd; Skylar Sias, 144 lbs., 3rd; Aiden Schall, 126 lbs., 4th; Justus Orman-Bergman, 118 lbs., 5th; Caleb Herrera, 175 lbs., 6th; Rayden Barnaby, 285 lbs., 7th; Isaiah Smith, 165 lbs., 8th; and Uriah Read., 285 lbs., 8th.

As Polson and Ronan are set up to bring a swath of talented wrestlers to the all-class tournament, Arlee and Mission/Charlo also look to bring some heavy hitters to state.
