Max Dupras joined the Lake County Leader as a sports reporter in January of 2026. He has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Montana. Max is a lifelong Montana resident, growing up watching Griz sports in Missoula. He has covered sports and news for multiple publications, including the Rapid City Journal, NonStop Local News and the Montana Kaimin. He is also a former intern of the Lake County Leader, having covered everything from city council meetings to wildfires. He covers sports for all Lake County schools. Polson AD stepping down after three years
Polson activities director Sean Dellwo is resigning at the end of the school’s athletic season to prioritize his family. Dellwo has been serving as the activities director for the past three years as the school has won multiple state championships and had some successful years across all sports.

Polson tennis took to the courts in Cut Bank this past weekend on April 17 and April 18, with multiple opponents testing their talents against Polson’s tennis stars. Both the boys and girls performed well, only dropping one team series all weekend.

Ronan head softball coach resigns after allegations of misconduct
Ronan head softball coach Joe Verbanic has stepped down after allegations of misconduct towards players. Verbanic was hired in November of 2025, and faced accusations by roughly a dozen players who testified in front of the Ronan School Board Nov. 10, accompanied by each of their families.
