Woman arrested after stabbing boyfriend takes deferred prosecution agreement

A woman brought up on a felony charge last year after allegedly attacking her boyfriend with a knife during an apparent mental health crisis later received a deferred prosecution agreement.
Prosecutors initially charged Mia Yvette Webber, 29, with one count of assault with a weapon in Flathead County District Court following her April 1, 2025 arrest in Whitefish. Appearing before Judge Amy Eddy for her arraignment on April 17, Webber maintained her innocence.
Just days before the scheduled start of her trial in August, prosecutors filed a motion to dismiss, citing the deferred prosecution agreement. A copy of the agreement was not available in district court.
Eddy ordered the case dismissed without prejudice on Aug. 5.
Webber's boyfriend told Whitefish Police officers that she had pinned him down when he awoke for work about 3:30 a.m., April 1, according to court documents. Pulling out a knife, she told him he was not going to work that day, court documents alleged.
She later allegedly grabbed his phone and stabbed it several times before taunting him with the knife. Taking small swings with the knife, she struck him on the shoulder, drawing blood, court documents said.
He provided investigators with photographs of the wound. He described her as “manic” in the lead up to the alleged attack.
Officers arrested Webber near a bowling alley in Whitefish, according to court documents. She allegedly tossed a pocketknife from her purse before being taken to a medical facility.
