Assure Painting opens new space in Coeur d’Alene

Assure Painting is kicking off the grand opening of its new office at 115 W. Ironwood Drive with a ribbon-cutting ceremony July 14 at 11 a.m.
Project Specialist Shelia Sprinkle said they are excited to be in their new space.
“We’ll have so much more to offer our clients — an actual office where we can consult with them on their projects — and one to meet with our vendors to discuss our upcoming projects,” Sprinkle said. “We’ll also have a color consulting area to go over our customers’ projects and expectations, and a private space for our estimator and project manager. All of this will help better serve our customers.”
Assure Painting is owned and operated by Ed Assed and his wife, Emily Wellingtion. The company has over 25 years of industry experience in residential and commercial markets throughout North Idaho and Washington.
“I actually started painting when I was 13 years old — worked in an autobody shop painting show cars and race cars,” Assed said. “As I got older, I worked in commercial construction, tried my hand at logging for 10 years and then got into residential construction. I saw painters having a good time and thought, maybe I should do that instead.”
Assed said he ended up working for Everhart Painting out of Spokane and a few other companies, gaining the much-needed experience to open his own paint business in 2001.
“Things were a little different back then. Everybody in Idaho was looking for the cheapest thing they could get,” Assed said. “Now, people are looking for someone they can trust, someone that's going to do what they say they're going to do, get it done in a reasonable amount of time. And that's what we seem to be really good at.”
Assed attributes much of his recent success to Sprinkle, who worked 11 years at Mallory Paint Store, based in Woodinville, Wash., where she helped open 16 locations, including one at the old Wall Paint Center in Spokane, and six years as a Sherwin-Williams sales rep.
“Her product knowledge is unmatched in this area — she knows more than some of our reps do about their own products,” Assed said. “Between our experience, application and efficiency in customer service, and the knowledge that she brings, we're all on the same page for using the right product for the customers' hopes and dreams, desires and plans of action.”
Another part of Sprinkle’s job description is business development.
“I go to various organizations and promote our business,” Sprinkle said. “We advertise in a local magazine — on social media — Facebook — Instagram and TikTok. We are also getting ready to re-release our website.”
