OTHELLO — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in its investigation of a drive-by shooting Saturday about one mile west of Othello.

The incident occurred in the 2100 block of West April Street, according to a media release from Adams County Sheriff Dale Wagner. The shooting appeared to be gang-related, Wagner said.

“Deputies responded after receiving reports of shots fired into a residence,” he said. “While deputies were responding, Othello Community Hospital advised that an individual with a gunshot wound had arrived for treatment. The victim sustained a gunshot injury to the face. The injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, and the victim was later airlifted to Harborview Medical Center for additional treatment.”

Deputies are asking people who might have information, including surveillance video, to contact ACSO at 509-659-1122.

“You may remain anonymous,” Wagner said. “Even seemingly minor details may be important.”

This is a developing story, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
