PHOTOS: Whitefish demonstrators focus on lives lost

"Ten dead, don't look away" and "A los que son detenidos, do not give up hope" were written in chalk on the sidewalk outside of the federal Customs and Border Patrol station in Whitefish on Sunday, July 19.
According to Flathead Democracy organizer Leanette Galaz, the demonstration aimed to "demand accountability, honor lives lost and make visible the human cost of ICE's actions."
Demonstrators wrote the names of people killed by U.S. immigration agents on the sidewalk., including Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, shot July 7 in Houston, Texas, Joan Sebastian Guerrero, shot on July 13 in Biddeford, Maine.
