MOSES LAKE — Digital access is a gateway to health care, education and other vital services, but many people in Grant County still experience barriers to these connections, according to an announcement from the Grant County Coalition for Health Improvement Facilitator Rhyanne Berryman. Grant County CHI and NCW Tech Alliance will host a free event Tuesday at the Columbia Basin Technical Skills Center aimed at improving access for all.

“Bridging the Digital Divide” will bring together people working across healthcare, education, public services, and communities, Berryman wrote in the announcement. The goal is to build a shared understanding of what digital equity means in our region, why it matters for local people, and what resources and programs already exist to help.

NCW Tech will present a keynote session on digital equity and access and their importance, according to the announcement. There will also be a panel discussion on digital access in health care, K-12 education, higher education, community and Spanish-speaking populations. A networking lunch will be served.

Real-time Spanish interpretation will be available for the entire event.
