On Wednesday, around 9:45 a.m., a Piper PA-31 landed with its gear up at the Coeur d'Alene Public Airport, Federal Aviation Administration officials confirmed. The pilot was the only one aboard and did not sustain any injuries.

"The FAA will investigate," said Ian Gregor, an FAA senior adviser.

FAA officials said the small, fixed-wing, multiengine utility plane identification number is N445FM. According to the FAA registry, the plane is owned by Mark L. Agee, of Greenacres, Wash.

Coeur d'Alene Public Airport officials could not be reached for comment.

This is a developing story.
