4 killed in collision near Royal City

ROYAL CITY — Four people were killed and five injured, one critically, when a passenger car collided with a truck about eight miles north of Royal City Tuesday afternoon.
The collision occurred near the intersection of Dodson Road and Frenchman Hills Road Southwest, said Kyle Foreman, public information officer for the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, in a media release.
Four people in the car were killed, Foreman said, and another person was critically injured. The survivor from the car was airlifted from the scene. Four people in the truck, two adults and two juveniles, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Samaritan Hospital. Both roads were expected to be closed for several hours, according to the GCSO.
