The city of Coeur d'Alene and Ironman have not signed a new contract. A story in today's Press said they did.

The sides are working on drafting a new three-year contract.

Mayor Dan Gookin told the Press on Thursday a contract had been signed. Friday, he said it was not a contract, but an addendum to the current contract.

"We the city have not heard from the Ironman people or any organizers regarding the next three years other than they have presented us with the dates they would like to have the race," he said.
