COEUR d'ALENE — Sunflower Bank is expanding its mortgage lending footprint in the Inland Northwest.
The bank recently added 21 mortgage professionals to its Idaho team in addition to a downtown Coeur d’Alene office at 105 N. Fourth St., Suite 301. Sunflower Bank also opened an office in Meridian.
According to a recent press release, the goal is to position the bank to work more closely with local homebuyers, homeowners and real estate professionals across the region.
“The Inland Northwest continues to see strong demand for mortgage expertise, and our growth is a direct response to the needs of the communities we serve,” said Josh Martin, managing director of mortgage lending for Sunflower Bank. “By bringing together top-producing teams in Spokane and Idaho, we are strengthening our ability to deliver local insight, competitive solutions and long-term value for our customers.”
Sunflower Bank has also opened a new mortgage lending branch in Spokane at 244 W. Main Ave. The location consolidates two existing Spokane offices and is expected to serve as a regional hub for Sunflower Bank’s mortgage operations, bringing together established lenders in Washington with newly added Idaho teams.
Sunflower Bank first entered the Spokane market in 2019 through its Guardian Mortgage division, which rebranded under the Sunflower Bank name in 2025. In 2021, the bank received regulatory approval to register its West Main office as a licensed depository branch, reflecting its expanding customer base in the area.
Since then, the bank has continued to grow its mortgage lending, private banking and wealth management services throughout the Inland Northwest.
With $8.5 billion in assets as of Dec. 31, Sunflower Bank is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and has 71 licensed depository branches in seven states in addition to mortgage capabilities in 44 states.
