Columbia Falls track and field senior standout Billy Joe West will compete for Montana Tech next year. West, a senior, throws the discus and the javelin for the Wildcats.
Though the season isn’t completed, he’s expecting to be all-state/all-conference in both events and was all-state in the javelin as a junior.
West has a 4.0 grade point average and plans on studying to be a radiology technician at Butte.
“Roll Diggs,” he said at the signing, a reference to the Orediggers, Tech’s mascot.
