Zoomin Groomin, a mobile Spokane-based pet grooming service, is now booking appointments in Coeur d'Alene, Hayden, Rathdrum and Post Falls. 

Owner Glenn Wirick opened the business in April of this year. 

"Our decision to start the business was based on our observation that Spokane and the surrounding areas needed a better option for pet grooming," Wirick said in an Aug. 26 press release. "This area is rich with pet lovers who are looking for improved convenience and high-quality grooms. We aim to deliver on that service." 

The mobile service features a "Calming Groom" for high-anxiety pets. The salons are sound-insulated, and each pet receives a one-on-one experience free of cages, other barking dogs and traditional salon distractions. Blower motors are also housed in soundproof cabinets. 

Each groomer has years of experience, with many having owned or run their own salons, or having worked as groomer trainers. 

Most appointments last between one and two hours, depending on the size, breed, and condition of the dog or cat's coat. Custom packages include a bath, brush-out, haircut if needed, nail trim and ear cleaning. 

The company is also considering pet-sitting and dog-walking services.
