Having every player on the roster contribute to the win was another level of fun for the Bulldogs as they knocked down Eureka 42-6 in non-conference football Friday.  

“It always feels even better to win a game when everyone contributes,” said Coach Brett Bollweg.  

Younger team members led the field in the second half.  

“It’s a real testament to the work the young guys put in so that there wasn’t a drop off when they enter the game,” Bollweg said.  

Eureka did show some good work in pressuring the Bulldogs’ offense. They ended up with 258 yards of offense, 74 on the ground. 

However, the Bulldogs racked up 421 yards, giving the Lions no chance.  

Senior Sam Rainford caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Luke Dalen to start the night. Owen Aldridge’s kick was successful on all PATs. Dalen then had a 50-yard touchdown run to bring the Bulldogs to 14 by the end of the first.  

Rainford kept the steam coming with another short 7-yard touchdown catch from Dalen followed by a 20-yard TD run. Austin Alton caught a 3-yard touchdown pass from Dalen.  

Still in the second quarter and at 35-0, the Lions got a touchdown pass from Hunter Grieve to Tyce Van Orden to put themselves on the board; the kick failed.  

Vance Schwaiger had 4-yard TD run to end the second 42-6.  

Dalen ended the night throwing 203 yards and rushing 90. John Stephens had four carries for 41 yards and Schwaiger four for 33. Rainford had four catches for 101 yards.  

The Bulldogs (4-0) begin Western A conference play on Friday away at Ronan.
