Whitefish rolled to a 45-6 victory over Ronan in Class A football action Friday.  

The Bulldogs built a 21-0 lead over the Chiefs in the first quarter and extended the advantage to 42-0 by halftime. Younger Bulldogs, like last week, ate up the opportunity to build experience on the field and held the score steady in the third and fourth.  

Whitefish opened the scoring when quarterback Luke Dalen broke free for a 38-yard touchdown run, followed by an Owen Aldridge extra point. Dalen later connected with Vlad Shestak on a 45-yard touchdown pass. Schwaiger added a 3-yard touchdown run, Rainford scored on a 15-yard touchdown run, and Curtiss had a 1-yard touchdown rush. Whitefish also got a 40-yard interception return touchdown from Dalen. 

Ronan's lone score came on a 45-yard touchdown run by Layton Burland in the fourth quarter.  

In the air, Dalen completed 8 of 9 passes for 134 yards and one touchdown.  

Ronan completed 4 of 10 passes for 25 yards and threw one interception. 

Whitefish piled up big plays on the ground, led by Schwaiger, who rushed four times for 65 yards and a touchdown. Dalen added two carries for 50 yards and a touchdown, while Hank Hoppes ran four times for 42 yards. Austin Alton chipped in one carry for 31 yards, John Stephens had four rushes for 29 yards, and Sam Rainford carried twice for 19 yards and a touchdown. Beck Moses added three carries for 16 yards, and Keenan Curtiss scored on a 1-yard touchdown run.  

Ronan rushed 23 times for 108 yards. 

In the passing game, Alton caught three passes for 35 yards, while Shestak hauled in a 42-yard touchdown reception. Curtiss finished with two catches for 29 yards, Rainford had one reception for 29 yards, Gage Scott caught one pass for 6 yards, and Brody Forthofer and Troy Dalen each recorded a reception. 

The Bulldogs now stand at 5-0 overall, 1-0 in league while the Chiefs fell to 1-4 for the season. 

Homecoming is Friday with the Polson Pirates (2-2) coming to Memorial Field.
