Transition going smoothly

The transition of Bigfork Ambulance into the Bigfork Fire Department has gone extremely well. Personnel has had a positive attitude and been working very hard this past month. It will take us several more months to tie up loose ends.

Spring is less than a month away. Open burning began Sunday, March 1. A permit is not needed during the months of March and April.  A burning permit is required May 1 through June 30.

GEORGE - Nearly 50 people were injured on Thanksgiving after a bus full of University of Washington Marching Band members rolled on Interstate 90 near George. After the crash George Elementary School was opened for the band members, who received Thanksgiving meals from concerned locals, food from the cafeteria at the school and other donations.
