The Washington fishing license anglers had last Saturday is out of date. They expired at midnight March 31. In order to continue fishing legally, anglers 15 years of age and older must purchase a 2012-13 license. Licenses and permits are available online, by phone, at 1-866-246-9453, and from sporting goods stores and other retail license dealers around the state.

CARRY: Badge versus bulge

All in the law enforcement community have a right to express their various opinions regarding Permitless/Constitutional Carry; however no one has a right to change the facts in order to fit their opinion. Coeur d’Alene Police Chief Lee White is quoted by Brian Walker saying, “Right now if I see you walking down the street and there is a bulge consistent with an outline of a firearm that appears to be concealed, I can legally stop you for the minimal amount of time it takes for me to validate you are a permit holder.” Nothing can be further from the truth! I am not sure where Chief White got this idea or if he was misquoted, but this is not true in Idaho. A bulge in the clothing alone, is not probable cause to detain and question anyone.

Sheriff’s promotion of civil disobedience is disheartening

My wife and I are senior citizens. We have lived in Bonner County for 48 years and have raised three children here. We never thought we would hear our own sheriff promoting civil disobedience by questioning the validity of the legal stay-at-home order. We expected it from Heather Scott as she tries to make herself seem important to her supporters.

Terrance M. Mousel Jr., 30, was fined $260 for permitting the operation of a vehicle without liability insurance. He was assessed $35 in court costs.
