HEALTH CARE: Get out the wheelchairs

My 91-year-old father just returned from a week of fishing at a remote cabin on the Alaskan coast with some dear friends. When he’s not off traveling, he spends 8-plus hours a day working in his 4-acre yard, keeping up his masterpiece flower and vegetable garden/orchard, chopping and stacking wood, and even came to my rescue with his chainsaw when a huge fir tree fell across my driveway last winter.

LITTLE: Experience counts

In this upcoming election, there is only one clear choice for the next governor of Idaho. Brad Little is far and away the most qualified candidate in this race and will provide the leadership Idaho needs moving forward. As a rancher and businessman, Brad understands the proper role of government to allow for economic opportunity and prosperity. He has taken his background in private industry into government to ensure good, strong conservative leadership for the state. As a senator and Lt. Governor, he is the only candidate with both legislative and business experience, which will be key in assuring success as Idaho’s chief executive.

DUO: Time to go

In my opinion, Hillary and Barack are two peas in a pod — they simply don’t know when to fade into the sunset. It’s almost like they have to share their wisdom and brilliance with us — that somehow without them the world will cease to exist and that when they speak we should hang onto their every word — digest it as the gospel truth — right up there with the Ten Commandments. They think this: our county is lost, going to hell in a hand basket with Trump as President, our democracy is at stake, Trump supporters aren’t only deplorable but we’re just plain stupid and un-American. Barack and Hillary will save us.

MEDIA: Flunk on Trump

I know many folks do not watch Fox News because they think it is biased, and it is. But it is biased toward the truth as opposed to the distortions and outright lies spewing from the so called major media. It has been documented that 90-plus percent of the news items on the air were negative toward President Trump in spite of all the positive accomplishments he has generated. It is very troubling to me that I can no longer believe anything coming from “mainstream” media. If I listened only to NBC, CNN or New York Times, I would be very uninformed about what is actually going on.
