COLUMBIA BASIN – A busy week is ahead for the Columbia Basin with loads of events in a wide variety. Swing a club, catch a musical, get healthy or just have fun together any way you can. Here are a few suggestions:
May 12
Moses Lake Chamber Golf Scramble

Rusty Mammoth Sale

‘Into the Woods’
Central Washington University presents the Stephen Sondheim musical. The popular Broadway musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. The main characters are taken from “Little Red Riding Hood,” “Jack and the Beanstalk,” “Rapunzel,” and "Cinderella,” plus several others. 4 killed in collision near Royal City
ROYAL CITY — Four people were killed and five injured, one critically, when a passenger car collided with a truck about eight miles north of Royal City Tuesday afternoon. The collision occurred near the intersection of Dodson Road and Frenchman Hills Road Southwest, said Kyle Foreman, public information officer for the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, in a media release.
EWU releases spring 2026 Dean’s List
CHENEY — Eastern Washington University has released its Dean’s List for spring quarter 2026, with 103 Grant and Adams County students receiving honors. To qualify for the Dean’s List, an undergraduate student must earn 12 quality hours and receive a grade point average of 3.5. These Basin students were named to the Dean’s List:
