Running the race the Mission Shadows Duals way, where the slower runners get a head start on the faster ones, the Plains cross country team still came away with impressive results.

As they have most of this cross-country season, Owen Jermyn and Cord Greer led the way for the Horsemen by placing first and second in the boys varsity race in Pablo, Owen in a personal-best time of 16:03.33 and Cord in 16:32.50.

Kalem Ercanbrack (18:37:03, a season best), Jack Cockrell (19:20:29), Brock Ryan (20:14:83) and Remy Ryan (21:16:74) also all ran well for the Plains boys, who finished second in team scoring.

In the girls race, Marina Tulloch placed 10th and took about 40 seconds off her previous best time for the season, finishing the race in 21:42.49, Annika Ercanback clocked 23:09:02 (also a season best), eighth grader Emmy Russell 23:32:56 and Kylie Silva 25:50:59.

Plains assistant coach Charity Jermyn said the junior varsity boys all also ran great with Asher Seymour registering a season-best time of 21:28:44, Tyler Barton (22:48.36) and Billyray Holotta (23:04.68) running personal best times, and Riley Geenen finishing in 24:27:14.
