Jermyn, Greer impressive at Mountain West Invite

When there are almost 600 competitive runners in a cross country race, a top 100 finish is a very impressive result, and a top 50 performance is even more newsworthy.
Proving they are among the best prep runners in the Pacific Northwest, not just in Montana, Plains sophomores Owen Jermyn and Cord Greer both ran to very impressive, newsworthy finishes for the Horsemen in the Mountain West Invitational Saturday.
Competing against varsity runners from all classes across Montana, Idaho and Washington in the 2025 Mountain West in Missoula, Jermyn ran the 5,000 meter course in 16:33.83 to win 32nd place overall and his teammate (and running partner) Greer clocked 16:43.22 to run down 46th individually.
Coached by Owen’s parents Jesse and Charity Jermyn, Plains harriers will compete in the Thompson Falls Invitational at River’s Bend golf course outside of Thompson Falls Saturday.
