Max Dupras joined the Lake County Leader as a sports reporter in January of 2026. He has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Montana. Max is a lifelong Montana resident, growing up watching Griz sports in Missoula. He has covered sports and news for multiple publications, including the Rapid City Journal, NonStop Local News and the Montana Kaimin. He is also a former intern of the Lake County Leader, having covered everything from city council meetings to wildfires. He covers sports for all Lake County schools. Lake County track teams get big results in end-of-season sprint
It was district week for most track and field teams in Lake County, with Mission, Arlee, Charlo and Two Eagle River all showing out before divisionals. Polson and Ronan wrapped up the regular season with the ABC Invite, making it a packed week before the final sprints, jumps and throws of the season.
Lake County softball squads see successful overall week
There is no better time than now to get victories as softball begins to wrap up the regular season, and local teams accomplished just that. Every Lake County softball squad got wins this weekend as state contests quickly approach.
Polson tennis drops matches against Whitefish
The Pirates suffered some losses to close out the regular season as they dropped their team matches against Whitefish.
