Polson tennis took to the courts in Cut Bank this past weekend on April 17 and April 18, with multiple opponents testing their talents against Polson’s tennis stars.

Both the boys and girls performed well, only dropping one team series all weekend.

For the girls, they dominated with team wins over every opponent this week. They dropped just one match in three of their four team results.

Against Hardin, Polson’s Greta Lund, Hinkley Moss, JoHanna Bieber and Zoe Schroeder all won their singles matches. The Lady Pirates also dominated in the doubles in this one, with only one loss. Karly Smith and Baylee Lemm won their match 8-1, while Lindy DuPuis and Amy Thoft won 8-7 (4).

The boys only team loss was to Hardin with JaiDon Mahkuk being the only boys single winner for Polson in that team round. Strider Gage and Zayne Newman were the only boys winners in the doubles as well.

The Polson boys swept Billings Central in singles with Gage, Newman, Mahkuk and Marcus Lucas all winning. Truman Sawyer and Parker Hendrickson also won in doubles.

The Polson girls split their singles games with Smith and Lemm both winning. However, they took all three doubles matches.

Smith, Lemm and DuPuis all won in singles against East Helena. Polson also continued its doubles dominance with three wins in that category over the Lady Vigilantes.

The boys nearly swept too, with just one loss in singles. Hendrickson, Sawyer and Ruger Ellis all won those matches.

Finally, the boys took down Havre with three singles wins and two doubles wins. Aristo Cannon got his solo win of the day against the Blue Ponies. They also won two of three doubles matches.

The girls nearly swept Havre with three doubles wins and three singles wins. Alexa Kinaman got her only singles win of the day as well.
