WALLACE — Shoshone County law enforcement investigated multiple violent incidents in recent days, leading to several arrests across the county.

Ballfield assault

A confrontation at a youth baseball game in Pinehurst escalated into violence Monday evening, resulting in the arrest of a Kellogg man, according to court records.

Brandon M. Farmin, 33, was taken into custody April 20 after deputies were called to the ballfields near Pinehurst Elementary School for a reported fight. Authorities said the victim, the boyfriend of Farmin’s estranged wife, had previously been warned that Farmin intended to come to the game to assault and kill him.

Witnesses told deputies that Farmin arrived at the field, climbed the bleachers and immediately began punching the victim, causing both men to fall to the ground. Deputies used a stun gun to subdue Farmin after he resisted commands and had to be restrained, police said. The victim suffered visible injuries, including redness and a bloody lip.

Farmin later admitted he acted out of rage. He was charged with misdemeanor assault, battery and resisting arrest.

Firearm confrontation

An alleged dispute between roommates ended with the display of loaded firearms in Wallace late Monday, prompting an aggravated assault arrest.

Justin R. Galusha, 22, was arrested just before midnight April 21 after officers responded to a report of a firearm displayed in an apartment above Wallace City Hall, according to court records. Investigators said Galusha, who appeared intoxicated, aimed an AR‑15 rifle at his roommate as the roommate walked up the stairs to their shared apartment.

The roommate told officers he feared he would be shot and was able to disarm Galusha, securing both the rifle and a handgun. Galusha admitted to drinking alcohol and using marijuana and told police he had firearms with rounds chambered, claiming he was defending his home.

Galusha, who was released from Shoshone County Jail on Wednesday, has been charged with aggravated assault, a felony.

Kidnapping allegation

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a rural Shoshone County residence near Kingston on Wednesday following a report that a woman was being held against her will for several days.

Terry J. Delaney, 38, was taken into custody April 22 after deputies were called to a home on Drummond Peak Road for a reported kidnapping, according to court records. Authorities said the woman secretly contacted a family member for help, reporting she was not being allowed to leave and that her phone had been taken.

The woman told deputies she had been at the residence for five days, repeatedly asked to leave, but was prevented from leaving. She alleged Delaney took her phone and keys, blocked her from exiting the home, and, on one occasion, shoved her to the ground and dragged her back inside when she attempted to leave.

Delaney denied kidnapping her but admitted taking her phone and keys. Court records show Delaney pleaded guilty to statutory rape in 2010. He has been charged with second‑degree kidnapping and is being held on a $100,000 bond.

Child abuse investigation

A child sexual abuse investigation in Mullan led to felony charges after a report to law enforcement earlier this week.

Michael P. Flory, 34, was arrested April 22 after deputies responded to a report of possible sexual abuse at a home on Mill Road, according to court records. Detectives said the juvenile victim disclosed that Flory had touched the child inappropriately earlier that day, after picking the child up from school.

Investigators reported the child appeared frightened and said the contact caused pain. The child’s parent told deputies she became alarmed after returning home and finding Flory leaving a bedroom with his pants unbuttoned and the child unclothed.

Flory denied the allegations, claiming the child’s parent influenced the accusations. He was charged Thursday with lewd conduct with a minor and is being held on a $100,000 bond.

"This investigation is ongoing, and information about the victim cannot be released," Shoshone County Sheriff Shawn Wehr stated.
