Maintain your composure and everything else will take care of itself.
Facing a big week of games hosting Plains Tuesday, visiting Two Eagle River in Pablo Thursday and returning home to entertain Charlo in the Spa City Saturday, Hot Springs coach Brady Ovitt is promoting a peaceful approach to his Savage Heat girls.
Prepping for this big trio of games, the Heat warmed up for the occasion with a 60-22 road win over Noxon Friday.
“We need to stay cool, calm and collected,” Ovitt professed. “If we play our game and don’t get rattled, I think we can play with anyone in our conference.”
Now 5-2 overall and 2-0 in 14C play, the Heat were led to victory in Noxon by Kara Christensen, who scored 20 points, and Eleanor Massey, who added 15 more. Please see other story for Noxon scoring.
Charlo has been looking very good in 14C conference play so far, and scored an important conference win over Superior, along with Hot Springs considered one of the favorites in 14C, before the holidays.
The Hot Springs side was bolstered last week by the late addition to the roster of senior Callie Cano, an experienced basketball player coming off an All-State C volleyball season.
