Othello man arrested on suspicion of burglary, assault

OTHELLO — An Othello man was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary and fourth-degree assault Saturday after he allegedly got in an altercation at a residence about a mile west of Othello. 

Juan Lopez-Hernandez, 31, was arrested by Adams County Sheriff’s deputies after they responded to a possible domestic violence incident, according to an ACSO press release. The incident was reported at about 3:30 p.m. in the 600 block of South Saddle Road, Adams County Sheriff Dale Wagner wrote in the release. 

“The reporting party heard a female screaming in a residence at the location. Deputies responded and safely got the victim out of the residence. The suspect remained inside and would not listen to commands,” Wagner wrote. “Eventually, the suspect exited but did not follow commands given. After several warnings, the suspect was taken into custody after a successful taser deployment.” 

Lopez-Hernandez was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation and residential burglary, Wagner said.

MOSES LAKE – On June 10 at about 2:30 p.m., Moses Lake Officers responded to a traffic accident in the 200 block of West Broadway at the corner of Beech Street. Officers found that a pink 2000 Volkswagen had left the roadway and struck two streetlights and a trash can at the corner There were no injuries, and the driver, 53-year-old Tanya Robinson from Wenatchee, was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI and possession of methamphetamine). Robinson was released pending lab results from the Washington State Toxicology Lab.
