POST FALLS — Nolie Hiatt secured the silver medal in girls golf, Patrick Young finished one shot behind the playoffs and Bonners Ferry just missed out on the title at the Genesis Prep Invitational at The Links Golf Club in Post Falls.

Hiatt was the standout for the Lady Badgers during the April 27 invitational, finishing with a 92. While she was seven strokes back of the winner, Hiatt also was seven strokes clear of the third-place finisher in her return to the podium places. 

Patrick Young spearheaded the Bonners Ferry boys golf team once again, shooting a 77, narrowly missing out on a playoff spot for the individual title. He still placed third in what is quickly becoming a fantastic freshman year. 

As a team, Bonners Ferry boys golf shot a 348, missing out on first place by just two shots, as Kellogg took the title. Tyler Cordle shot an 88, with Rowdy Hull just one stroke behind on 89. Gabriel Warren shot a 94 and Marvin Michaels put in a score of 101. 

On the girls side, the Badgers finished in third, as Eleanor Sheets shot a 114, Lilly Bremer a 115 and Sandra Fairchild a 119.
