SANDPOINT — District 1 legislators will be back in North Idaho for their monthly town hall series on Saturday, March 28.

State Superintendent Debbie Critchfield will be joining the legislators for all three sessions, according to Sen. Jim Woodward.

As always, the trio of town halls begins at the northernmost event, in Bonners Ferry. This month’s town hall will take place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Boundary County Fairgrounds at 6567 Recreation Park Road in Bonners Ferry.

Next on deck will be Sandpoint, which will be held at Sandpoint Community Hall, 204 S 1st Ave., from 12 to 1:30 p.m. This event will be broadcast live and archived on KRFY for those who cannot make the town halls.

Lastly, the legislators will make their way over to the West Bonner County Library, 118 Main St., from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

At the February town hall in Sandpoint, Rep. Mark Sauter and Woodward spoke on a short-term rental overhaul bill, the state budget, the Idaho Public Utilities Commission and homeowner’s exemptions. Sauter was joined by Rep. Cornel Rasor at the Boundary County event in January, where the issues of rural healthcare and the effects of tax cuts were discussed.
