MIDDLETON — Hallie Hartman is officially the queen of the shot put.
Hartman threw for 42 feet, 7.5 inches to win the 4A shot put at the state championship event, defeating 15 other individuals as she claimed the title by more than three feet.
Hartman had a completely dominant season, winning every one of the 14 shot put events she competed in throughout this season, capping her run with the sweetest prize: a victory at state.
Her victory came less than a day after Hallie's sister Hana Hartman won the discus. Hana finished second in the shot put, with a throw of 39 feet, 4.5 inches.
Aspen Graham finished 11th in the same event with a throw of 30 feet, 1 inch.
